"HAVE A HEART, WILL YOU!"
ON THE COMMON
WHO: Led by PAUL DUNION & JOHN GUARNASCHELLI.
"Have a heart, will you, man!" It's an expression heard all the time in movies, jokes, or maybe an argument.
But what does it mean? Do I really know how my own heart feels? ... honor it? ... what it wants? ... and doesn't want! Do I know when I'm invaded or hurt/hurt or invade?
Am I willing to reward myself with "abundance" or do I always "settle" for the bare minimum? Does my "chest" hurt with a longing I find no way to satisfy?
Or, are all these questions silly? "Man, get a life."
One author recently stated a wound to the heart is the real hurt inflicted on boys. And maybe it's so deep we can't even look at it!
On Oct. 1, 2. and 3, 1999, the Village of Brothers will gather once again at Camp Hi Rock. We'll create a Sacred Space in which we may touch the needs of our own heart.
Silence, talk, exercises and play will lead to our SWEAT LODGE, and from it. As men, we learn the truths of our hearts by seeing them in one another. Please consider how important adding yourself to our community will be this October 1, 2, 3.
