THE CIRCLE OF HEALING:
HOW MEN OFFER IT                      HOW MEN RECEIVE IT

ON THE COMMON GROUND'S
FOURTH ANNUAL "VILLAGE OF BROTHERS" FALL RETREAT

WHO: Led by JOSEPH JASTRAB, LARRY LIMA, JOHN GUARNASCHELLI.
WHEN: Fri. Afternoon, Sat., Sun., October 13, 14, 15, 1995.
WHERE: CAMP HI ROCK, Mt. Washington, MA.

Whether aware of it or not, we all quest for healing. Some forms of it are easy to spot: driven work, compulsive striving, money, sex, status, alcohol or drugs. Others are harder to see: habitual fear, refusal to try, the quiet acceptance of impoverished lives, poor health, and few rewards.

Either way, we're usually, trying to heal the unrecognized wound(s) of childhood. So all these things we do are really a form of something good we're trying to accomplish for ourselves. The basic question is: what is that good thing, what is the healing?

One big part of healing is being heard, accepted, known for who I really am. Often, that did not happen in our families of origin.

So now, we feel condemned to "go it alone." We hide ourselves from eyes that will always be unsympathetic, trying to fill the hole for the good feeling we cannot feel toward ourselves.

No more! In a beautiful wilderness setting, a village of brothers will gather for OTCG's fourth annual retreat. In talk, play, silence, exercise, meditation, and dance, we'll explore the Circle of Healing we men can now hold in place for one another.

You're invited to join the Circle. You're invited to join the village of brothers to explore both how to offer the healing and how to receive it. We'll focus on experience and feelings, with ample time for individual expression. Come see!
