"WHAT ARE BROTHERS FOR?"

ON THE COMMON GROUND'S
THIRD ANNUAL "VILLAGE OF BROTHERS" FALL RETREAT

WHO: Led by JOSEPH JASTRAB, LARRY LIMA, JOHN GUARNASCHELLI.
WHEN: Fri. Afternoon, Sat., Sun., OCTOBER 21, 22, 23,1994.
WHERE: the ASHOKAN FIELD CAMP, Kingston, NY

Have you ever noticed how we stay away from each other? It seems whenever anything really important is involved, I just can't share it with another man.

So my conversation focuses "out there", on sports, women, money, and business. At times, it's left me bored and wondering whether my life includes anything really significant.

In growing up, most of us were "never let in on a man's story." So now as men we hold back our inner story, unsure whether we've got it right, often convinced it must be deeply unacceptable otherwise somebody would've talked to us about it.

OTCG's third annual retreat invites you to experience these deep places in ourselves which are now the sources of our loneliness and isolation, but can also be love, and togetherness.

In a quiet, wilderness setting, a safe community of brothers will gather to share talk, silence, play, exercises, and meditations. We will focus on experience and feelings, with ample time for individual expression.

You're invited to explore what brothers are for. You're invited to experience other men's stories so we can deepen and enrich our own in ways we may not presently be able to imagine. Come find out.
