Full Day Workshop for Men
Many of us are increasingly aware that we live in difficult times. There is violence in our cities and towns, and in the countryside. Children are abused. Our leaders prove untrustworthy. Air, water, and food often threaten life instead of nourishing it. We are addicted to sugar, television, tobacco, money, success, sex, power nearly everything including the consumption of the earth itself.
Over many centuries, society has trained both men and women to accept the conditioning which it imposes. As a result, we men have lost connection with healthy, generative masculinity. We are victimized and routinely killed by our culture's destructive shadow. We have lost contact with our deepest selves. It 's clear that to escape this, men must courageously return to the deep roots of our masculine humanity.
In this workshop, each participant will be helped to become more aware of the ways we have lost the fundamental I-Thou relationship with ourselves and with the earth. We will explore a new way of living, of developing a "new life story", that will creatively sustain our lives. And from it, we will be given specific tools for prospering now and in the future. ALL MEN WELCOME.
